Just purchased my second Armalith shirt to wear when its hot instead of leather. Performs well, just the collar flaps when you get up some speed so tuck it in to stop the flapping.
Had an (opportunity unfortunately) to test both the Braxton jeans and Armalith shirt this week having a slide of about 5 metres, most impact on my right side elbow and right hip. I picked up the bike, few more scratches than me , I felt ok and rode 30 mins home.
Outcome;
My hip is bruised with a criss cross pattern embedded from the armour . The kevlar pants has a few scratch marks, no holes. My right elbow armour then the back armour absorbed the impact, I have a few very minor abrasions on the elbow. The shirt, right elbow above the armour and down the arm and the back is rough and marked but no holes or rips.
Both in the wash and ready to ride again.
I dread to think of the outcome when I used to ride with a t shirt and shorts in summer!
This gear kicks ass!
